so i'm back in sunny, humid, south florida.
12 days of treking across the western expanses (utah, idaho, wyoming, arizona) and i can only say this: fuck the desert. give me highs in the upper 80's/mid 90's and 100% humidity every day over highs of 106 with 3% humidity.
other than that, it's beautiful out there. read all five books i brought with me, went to several national parks; yellowstone, arches, grand canyon, painted desert, petrified forest, and also to lake powell.
it was definitely an amazing experience, but i'm ready to get back up to gainesville.
time to rip as many of my dad's cd's to itunes before leaving.
